Principle of Operation
The working principle of a slurry pump is based on centrifugal force. When the motor drives the pump shaft to rotate, the impeller inside the pump also rotates. The blades of the impeller draw the medium into the pump from the inlet and push it towards the outlet through the rotation of the impeller. During this process, the medium is thrown outward from the center of the impeller due to centrifugal force and is discharged through the outlet of the pump casing. The rotation of the impeller creates a certain pressure inside the pump, which enables the transportation of the medium.
