The working principle of the ball mill mainly involves using the rotation of the cylindrical shell to drive the grinding media (such as steel balls or steel rods) inside to move by cascading and sliding. This movement subjects the material to impacts and grinding, achieving the purpose of comminution. As the mill shell rotates, the grinding media are lifted and raised to a certain height, then fall along a specific trajectory due to gravity. During this process, the grinding media exert strong impact forces on the ore within the shell. Additionally, the combination of the grinding media's rotation around the shell's axis and their own rotation generates compressive and abrasive forces between the media and between the media and the shell, which further grind the ore.
